Dog Potty Training Scam

There are a lot of conflicting theories about potty training a dog and it can be confusing to know which will work and which are useless.

What is the best way to house train a dog?

My family and I are thinking about getting a dog house and was wanted some advice onhouse good training before I get

Positive reinforcement in conjunction with crate training is the best way to house break a puppy. The dog will have to be taken out often in the beginning (one hour for 10 weeks of age, along with 15 min. After eating, drinking, or playing) When the puppy eliminates outside, praise and reward him. The puppy will begin to associate with a reward positive behavior. As the puppy gets a little older and more control muscle develops, it can take less often. Never hit or yell, expect an accident or two, and be patient and constant. Here is some information on crate training as well. ~ Dogs http://www.inch.com/ / cratetraining.html

I need some dog training tips on nipping dog?

We have a three year old dog, had him since a pup. He’s a mutt – longish hair beagle style dog. Actually he is really pretty intelligent.

He’s been an awesome dog so far. I’ve taken many tips, and have become his “pack leader”. However, he tends to nip at my kids when they are playing/rough housing, and when other kids come over he has nipped at them for playing, or when they have food in their hands.

Obviously this is a problem (though he never nips hard…just enough to scare them a bit). How do I overcome this? What would the Dog Whisperer tell me to do?

I am a dog trainer and I say your dog needs to go to Dog School. If you haven’t the money try my 1, 2, 3 easy tips.

1. Make a spot in the house for him to discipline him for doing this. The spot should have NO toys, NO children, and NO attention for about 5 minutes.

2. Take away play time/ treats for misbehavior.

3. Play with him more. Show him how to play nice and discipline for naughtiness.

How House training a 7 month old dog?

My friend gave me a 7 month old chihuahua mixed with dash hound and she told me it was house trained but it isn’t…I cant seem to get him to go outside so he chooses to poop in my moms closet and she is getting really upset how can i get him to go outside instead of my mom’s closet?

Here’s the process
1. IT TAKES A LONG TIME
2. keep the dog in a kennel until his time to be taken out. Dogs never soil their own area so to keep them and it clean.
3. Make a potty schedule(I have given you one at the end of this answer)
4. abide by it and say good boy whenever he goes potty and a treat if need be.
5. Be patient puppies are fragile and they are like babies, they learn slowly but once they learn they always do it (unless they’re to sick to get up ya know…)

SHEDULE:
wake up let dog out right away before feeding time
let dog out after feeding time
let dog out before and after your lunch(b4-11:30, after-12:30)
let out at 2:30 or so
let out at 4:00 or so
let out before and after dinner and before you go to bed.
Don’t forget to praise the dog and give treats and don’t forget to take him on walks that’s all a part of the process of their learning.

HOPE I HELPED!
